“We are grateful to the New York Dance Community for coming together to lend support for a cause that has touched a worldwide audience,” said Chloe Demrovsky, Executive Director of DRI. “Through our collective efforts of humanity, and the support of those already assisting in the recovery in Nepal, we encourage our community to give back and extend a helping hand through donations in support of the earthquake victims and strengthening our resilience to disasters.”

Tickets are on sale starting at $35, with select and premium seating at $125 and $175.  All premium seats include a post-show reception with the artists.  Tickets can be purchased by visiting the Dance for Nepal website . In addition, an auction will be held for a number of unique items for those who cannot attend. All proceeds will be donated to the DRI Foundation Nepal Relief Fund to assist in long-term recovery and rebuilding efforts in the affected areas, as well as to directly benefit survivors of the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck western Nepal in April.

“The collaboration of talented dancers and choreographers will certainly prove for an interesting, entertaining, and most importantly, impactful show that will assist in reinforcing how the power of artistic expression can lend favor to a major cause,” added Lloyd Knight.

Produced by Simona Ferrara and Faye Rosenbaum and led by Artistic Director Lloyd Knight, the Dance for Nepal performance will feature elite members of the New York Dance Community including Maxim Beloserkovsky and Irina Dvorovenko (formerly of American Ballet Theatre), Amar Ramasar (New York City Ballet), Carrie Ellmore-Tallitsch and Lloyd Knight (Martha Graham Dance Company), as well as other guest dancers from the Limón Dance Company, FJK Dance, The Francesca Harper Project, RIOULT Dance New York, Parsons Dance, Dorrance Dance, Sidra Bell Dance New York, and Paul Taylor’s American Dance Company.
